ANZAC Day

25 April 2020 - Written by

In Australia and New Zealand we commemorate our fallen soldiers on the 25th April, the anniversary of the Gallipoli landing in World War II. While the rest celebrate the feast of St Mark, we have Requiem Masses for those who died defending their homeland.

So, it’s a really short instalment tonight. Flip to Appendix D in your booklets, or have a look in the All Souls Day section if you’re using a Liber Usualis or other book. The Psalms are different. You can probably hear us stumble over the unfamiliar syllables.

God bless you

and may their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
